In 2019 Garmin Dak Sevaks(GDS) are getting some important News from Department of Post. After implementing the Kamalesh Chandra Committee (GDS Pay Committee 2016) DOP has released the pay and allowance related order. Presently GDS has got the revised pay & allowance of Rs. 10,000/- and 12,000/- as basic pay. Follow the revised pay slab for Gramin Dak Sevaks.

After starting of 2019, some important order has released for Gramin Dak Sevaks.

GDS Leave : –

Department of Post has implemented the recommendation of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report of GDS Emergency Leave. We all know that GDS Committee 2016 had recommended 30 days #Ordinary_Leave, 5 Days of Paternity Leave, 26 weeks of Maternity Leave and 5 days of emergency leave.

Maternity Leave has implemented as early time but the other leave related order of Gramin Dak Sevak is pending now. GDS Emergency Leave implementation order has released on 02-01-2019 having office memorandum no. No.17-31/2016-GDS.

GDS can get the facility of Emergency Leave for a maximum of 5 days in a calendar year, this for all categories of Gramie Dale Sevaks. They can apply for 2 days of emergency leave at a time.

The sanctioning authority of emergency leave is superintendent of post offices for BPM and Sr.PM/PM/Sub Divisional Head/HRO/SRO or SPM will be the sanctioning authority for ABPM/Dak Sevaks.

Monthly Incentive : –

“Circles are requested to clear the incentive bill till march 2019 by April 2019 so that from may 2019 onward the incentive to sales force will be paid on monthly basis.

Finally DOP realized that with out paying anything they can’t increase their PLI & RPLI Business. GDS are only employee of Department of Post that work harder to push the department but they are always deprived of their rights.

DOP ordered that all the pending incentive should be paid on or before March 2019. They ordered “It has been observed by this office that circles are nor not paying the incentive on time. It has been decided that w.e.f April 2019 incentive to sales force will be paid on monthly basis. Timely Payment of incentive will motivate the sales force to work harder and to acquire the new business. Circles are requested to clear the incentive bill till march 2019 by April 2019 so that from may 2019 onward the incentive to sales force will be paid on monthly basis”

So, hope that DOP will clear all the dues of Gramin Dak Sevaks incentive bill so that they can received their RPLI incentive bill as monthly basis from April 2019.

Suitable GDS & MTS Can Be Deployed For Working On Aadhaar : –

Now GDS and MTS can be a functioning as representative of Aadhaar. They can work for Aadhaar Enrollment and updation in Post Offices Aadhar Enrollment and Updation centers.

Suitable GDS & MTS can be engagement for working on Aadhaar counter bu providing necessary training and certification. This issue has been raised by CPMG.

In vies of the above, it is may be ensure that training of three official in each post office for Aadhaar enrollment and updation center has done with require certifications in case of shortage of staff suitable GDS & MTS can be deployed on aadhaar updation center.

Annual increment and Dearness allowance for Gramin Dak Sevaks :

GDS Pay Committee has implemented from July 2018. The Salary of Gramin Dak Sevak has increased more than three times the previous basic pay. As per implementation order of Department of Post, GDS Salary increases on the basis of DA and annual increment.

As per Kamlesh Chandra Committee, Gramin Dak Sevak will get the benefits three times in a year – DA two time and an Annual Increment.

It is almost confirmed that the Dearness Allowance of Gramin Dak Sevaks and Central Government Employee will be 12% w.e.f January 2019. but the problem is on Annual Increment.

Because the committee recommended that GDS should be paid annual increment as central government employee at the rate of 3% on basic pay at January and June which ever is earlier and department also implement this.

The circles are taking this order with own because some circles giving this allowance as their joining date, some as CG employee and some circles are waiting for one-year form implementation of the committee report.

For West Bengal Circle, they giving annual increment to the GDS as joining date for this reason many senior GDS has received their annual increment on January month salary.
