GDS Indefinite Strike enter into 16th day. Gramin Dak Sevak union (AIGDSU, AIPEU GDS NFPE and NUGDS start a Indefinite Strike from 22th May 2018 for demanding the long pending demand “immediate implementation of GDS Pay Committee Report” which was submitted by Kamalesh Chandra Committee on 22nd November 2016.

During strike, many discussion has been take place on 24th May, 28th May, 30th May and formal meeting on 4th June 2018. But no assurance given by Department of Post. on 24th may 2018, department want at least 45 days of time to implement the said report. Unions not take this assurance and decide to continue GDS Indefinite Strike. Department appeal to give 30 days of time on 28th days, and again appeal on 30th may 2018.

One another formal meeting has been hold on 4th June 2018, but no settlement has been happen. Unions, AIGDSU, AIPEU GDS NFPE and NUGDS decide to withdraw the GDS Indefinite Strike “If Secretary, Department of Posts or Honorable Minister for Communications assure us positive settlement of our demands within a reasonable time frame”

A source said that, Today a Cabinet meeting will be held in the presence of PM. let’s hope a positive thing may be happen in fever of poor GDS.

Yesterday a notice has been serve by the NFPE & FNPO union for demanding “immediate implementation of GDS Pay Committee Report’. If department not take any decision with in a short time they will serve a short notice to join GDS Indefinite Strike .

The NFPE and FNPO has decided to organize five days mass relay hunger fast (10 am to  5 pm) in front of all Chief PMsG Offices on 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th & 13th June 2018 demanding immediate implementation of Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report. The striking GDS Unions has already given call for indefinite relay hunger fast in front of all Divisional Offices from 6th June 2018.
